Let me start with the basics. My name is Shirley Guo¡ªGuo Xueli in Chinese¡ª22 years old, born in Zichang County, Shaanxi Province. I'm currently studying at Xi'an Jiaotong University, majoring in e-commerce with a minor in law. To sharpen my English and build a solid grasp of computer fundamentals, I've passed CET6, the C++ language exam in the National Computer Rank Examination (Level 2), and the database exam at Level 3¡ªall without much trouble. The scholarships I've earned over the years reflect a commitment to continuous learning; after all, one easily falls behind without constant effort.

Personality-wise, I'm easy to get along with¡ªI've got a solid circle of friends¡ªand naturally optimistic, always believing that things will eventually work out. That said, I also appreciate solitude: reading, watching films, listening to music, or just browsing the web are my goto ways to recharge.

As for why I want to pursue graduate studies, there are a few key reasons. First, further study feels urgent for realizing my own potential¡ªespecially in a competitive world where selfdevelopment opportunities must be seized. Second, Professor Li Qi is a leading figure in the ecommerce field, and I'm genuinely looking forward to learning from him over the next two years, building a stronger foundation for my future career. Third, the current job market is tough; a postgraduate degree might help me land a better position. In short, I'm eager to enroll here and take the next step.
